No. 15 Virginia Tech @ West Virginia
Current Records: Virginia Tech 2-0; West Virginia 1-1
What to Know
After a two-game homestand, the Virginia Tech Hokies will be on the road. They will square off against the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. These two teams are strolling into their game after big wins in their previous games.
The Hokies made easy work of the Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders last week and carried off a 35-14 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Virginia Tech had established a 28-7 advantage. Among those leading the charge for them was RB Raheem Blackshear, who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, West Virginia kept a clean sheet against the LIU-Post Sharks last week and took the contest 66 to nothing. With the Mountaineers ahead 38 to nothing at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Their wins bumped Virginia Tech to 2-0 and West Virginia to 1-1. With both Virginia Tech and West Virginia swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
