Minnesota @ Colorado
Current Records: Minnesota 1-1; Colorado 1-1
What to Know
The Minnesota Golden Gophers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Colorado Buffaloes at 1 p.m. ET Saturday at Folsom Field. The neutral point spread forecasts a close one for these two.
Even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, the Golden Gophers beat the Miami (OH) RedHawks 31-26 last week. Minnesota can attribute much of their success to RB Treyson Potts, who rushed for two TDs and 178 yards on 34 carries. Potts’ performance made up for a slower game against the Ohio State Buckeyes two weeks ago.
There was early excitement for Colorado after they claimed the game’s first points last week, but it was the Texas A&M Aggies who ended up claiming the real prize. It was close but no cigar for Colorado as they fell 10-7 to A&M. Colorado’s only offensive touchdown came from RB Jarek Broussard.
Minnesota’s victory lifted them to 1-1 while Colorado’s defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We’ll see if the Golden Gophers’ success rolls on or if the Buffaloes are able to steal their positive momentum.
