Colorado State @ Toledo
Current Records: Colorado State 0-2; Toledo 1-1
What to Know
Considering their sizeable disadvantage in the spread, the Colorado State Rams can expect to have a real challenge on their hands on Saturday. They will take on the Toledo Rockets on the road at 4 p.m. ET at Glass Bowl. Both teams are looking to take out their frustrations on one another after having lost close ones recently.
Colorado State might have drawn first blood against the Vanderbilt Commodores last week, but it was Vanderbilt who got the last laugh. It was a hard-fought game, but the Rams had to settle for a 24-21 defeat against Vanderbilt. Despite the loss, Colorado State had strong showings from RB David Bailey, who punched in one rushing touchdown in addition to snatching one receiving TD, and QB Todd Centeio, who passed for two TDs and 236 yards on 39 attempts in addition to picking up 75 yards on the ground.
Speaking of close games: Toledo was close but no cigar last week as they fell 32-29 to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. QB Carter Bradley had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he fumbled the ball once.
The Toledo defensive unit accumulated six sacks for a loss of 37 yards. Leading the way was DE Terrance Taylor and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Taylor.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Check back to see which squad is able to work their way into the win column.
