Through 2 Quarters
The Louisville Cardinals need a win to get to even, but right now it could go either way. They are in control with a 20-3 lead over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels. A victory for the Cardinals would counteract both their recent loss and Eastern Kentucky’s recent win.

What to Know
The Eastern Kentucky Colonels will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to Cardinal Stadium at 7 p.m. ET Saturday. They will be seeking to avenge the 42 to nothing loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Sept. 7 of 2019.
Eastern Kentucky came out on top in a nail-biter against the Western Carolina Catamounts last week, sneaking past 31-28. The overall outcome was to be expected, but Western Carolina made it more of a game than the oddsmakers had predicted.
Meanwhile, the contest between the Louisville Cardinals and the Ole Miss Rebels last Monday was not a total blowout, but with U of L falling 43-24, it was darn close to turning into one. Louisville’s loss came about despite a quality game from QB Malik Cunningham, who passed for one TD and 191 yards on 37 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 79 yards.
Eastern Kentucky’s win lifted them to 1-0 while Louisville’s defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We’ll find out if the Colonels can add another positive mark to their record or if U of L can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Eastern Kentucky’s step.
