What to Know
The Wisconsin Badgers will play host again and welcome the Eastern Michigan Eagles to Camp Randall Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
It was all tied up nothing to nothing at halftime, but Wisconsin was not quite the Penn State Nittany Lions’ equal in the second half when they met last week. The Badgers didn’t finish too far behind, but the team still lost 16-10 to Penn State. Despite the defeat, Wisconsin got a solid performance out of RB Chez Mellusi, who rushed for one TD and 121 yards on 31 carries.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between EMU and the Saint Francis U Red Flash last Friday was still a pretty decisive one as EMU wrapped it up with a 35-15 victory at home. The squad ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the win. The Eagles’ success was spearheaded by the efforts of RB Darius Boone Jr., who rushed for one TD and 112 yards on 23 carries, and RB Samson Evans, who punched in three rushing touchdowns.
Eastern Michigan’s victory lifted them to 1-0 while Wisconsin’s loss dropped them down to 0-1. We’ll find out if EMU can add another positive mark to their record or if the Badgers can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Eastern Michigan’s step.
