Last Season Records: Nevada 7-2; Idaho State 2-4
What to Know
The Nevada Wolf Pack will look to defend their home turf on Saturday against the Idaho State Bengals at 10:30 p.m. ET. The Wolf Pack will be seeking to avenge the 30-28 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Sept. 16 of 2017.
Nevada didn’t have too much breathing room in their game with the California Golden Bears last week, but they still walked away with a 22-17 victory. The win came about thanks to a strong surge after the first quarter to overcome a 14 to nothing deficit. No one had a standout game offensively for Nevada, but they got scores from WR Romeo Doubs and WR Elijah Cooks.
Special teams collected ten points for Nevada. K Brandon Talton delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, Idaho State was expected to have a tough go of it last week, and, well, they did. Things couldn’t have gone much worse for them as they lost 35-14 to the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. This matchup was a close 10-7 at the break, but unfortunately for Idaho State it sure didn’t stay that way.
Nevada’s victory lifted them to 1-0 while Idaho State’s defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We’ll see if the Wolf Pack’s success rolls on or if the Bengals are able to steal their positive momentum.
