How to watch Texas vs. Louisiana: TV channel, NCAA Football live stream info, start time

Who’s Playing

No. 19 Louisiana @ No. 20 Texas

Last Season Records: Texas 7-3; Louisiana 10-1

What to Know

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns and the Texas Longhorns are opening their 2021 seasons against one another at 4:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium/Jamail Field. Louisiana ended up 10-1 last year and capped things off with a win over the UTSA Roadrunners in the First Responder Bowl, so they are on the hunt for another strong season. Likewise, after a 7-3 record last season and a win in the Alamo Bowl, Texas is coming in with an eye to spark another quality season.

A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Ragin’ Cajuns were 17th best in the nation (top 13%) in overall offensive touchdowns, finishing the 2020 season with 45. Texas displayed some offensive firepower of their own as they ranked fifth in the nation in passing touchdowns, closing the year with 32 overall.

Since the experts predict a loss, Louisiana will need to dig deep. We’ll soon see whether they can make the experts look bad.
